National Media Campaign in North Carolina

We’re spreading the word.  The Partnership for a Drug-Free NC, Inc. is an alliance member with the Partnership for a Drug-Free America.  And it’s been a good year for getting the media involved in running the public service announcements that are produced by the PDFA.  Not only did the North Carolina organization recently receive two national awards (Alliance Achievement Award and Celebrating 10 years), but four of our state media outlets will be receiving awards this summer. WWWB-TV, WAXN-TV, in Charlotte and WXLV/WUPN-TV in Greensboro ran at least 750 spots last year. CBS Radio in Charlotte ran more than 1,500 spots among its sister stations, and Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem displayed our print campaign on their large mall kiosks for ten months in 2005.

Check out Partnership for a Drug-Free America to see the current public service announcements.  Contact Leanne Murray if you are interested in learning more about the media campaign that helps “unsell” drugs to North Carolina youth.
